Our Story
Built on Family, Rooted in Community
The story of Whiteside Insurance starts with a simple idea. People deserve an insurance agent who treats them like a neighbor, not a number. In 1984, Dewey Hollingsworth opened an insurance agency in Spicewood, Texas, with that belief at the center of everything he did. He built a reputation across the Hill Country by showing up for his clients and always doing right by them. In 2006, Wade Whiteside left a corporate career at Dell to join the family business and learn the trade from his father-in-law. By 2009, he purchased the agency and renamed it Whiteside Insurance.
Today, Wade and Melody carry forward the same small-town values Dewey built the business on. They know their clients by name, answer every call personally, and take the time to shop multiple carriers so every family and business gets the best coverage at the best price. Four decades later, the mission hasn't changed, just the name on the door.
